DataLase, the global leader in Photonic Printing Solutions, is celebrating after its Case Coding Solution technology was shortlisted for a highly coveted Processing and Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA) industry award.

DataLase is among the six finalists in the ‘Environmental Initiative of the Year’ category, in recognition of the sustainability and environmental benefits the technology delivers.

“DataLase Case Coding is an innovative and highly efficient method of applying logistical information directly onto corrugated boxes and SRP, without the need for any consumables in the production environment,” explained Laura Rickards, DataLase Marketing Manager. “The technology is proven to deliver a 16.8% reduction in carbon emissions in comparison to alternative solutions and helps brands meet their CSR goals by removing multi-materials and non-recyclable single use plastics from the supply chain.

“We’re delighted that the PPMA judges have recognised the benefits of the technology and would like to congratulate all the other shortlisted finalists.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday, 1 October during the PPMA Total Show at the NEC, Birmingham.
