Leading Photonic Printing Solutions company DataLase, part of the SATO Group, is further expanding its global reach with the appointment of a new South Africa-based distributor, Packtronic.
The unique DataLase Case Coding Solution is a highly efficient and advanced method of applying variable information onto corrugated boxes, including shipping information, barcodes, date and lot codes and sequential batch numbers. It combines novel laser technology with unique colour change pigments to create high resolution, high contrast print, delivering an inkless printing revolution to drive efficiency. Packtronic, based in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, will now distribute the technologically advanced solution across South Africa and throughout the African continent.
Jason Hamlin, Export & Distributor Sales Manager for DataLase, said: “Packtronic, who has been providing coding and marking solutions to the industry for over 25 years, is perfectly placed to support the continued introduction of DataLase applications across Africa. We are thrilled to have them on board as a distributor and are looking forward to both businesses’ continued success.”
The DataLase Case Coding Solution is a viable alternative to print and apply labels, high-resolution inkjet and waxjet solutions. “Not only does it entirely eliminate unnecessary waste and single-use plastics from the supply chain, but it also delivers high contrast, high quality, durable codes that do not smudge or rub off,” said Jason. “Traceability is improved through increased accuracy, while efficiency and productivity both benefit through a significant reduction in product recall and rework required.”
Packtronic is a recognised specialist company which takes pride in providing the ultimate in coding and marking solutions, as well as 24/7 technical support to a wide range of industries across Africa.
Johan Callitz, Managing Director of Packtronic, said: “We are delighted to add DataLase to our growing product portfolio and make this innovative system available to our customers across Africa. DataLase is of great interest in South Africa, the connections and enquiries we already have make this a very exciting opportunity with great potential.”
