Following production supervisor Charlie Heyes’ success in winning our first Employee of the Year Award for 2021, the recipient of our 2022 award goes to our operations manager, Matthew Goodwin. Many congratulations Matt!

As a reminder, our Employee of the Year Award was established by the senior leadership team as a way to reward employees who go above and beyond their normal work activities in their day to day roles. As a coveted annual award, it also helps drive a culture of collaboration and team spirit within the company.

For 2022, we changed it slightly and gave employees the option to vote for who they thought was a deserved winner. The outcome was very close with only one vote between the two front runners!

Matt has worked at DataLase since 2019 and, in his role, demonstrates a very helpful and knowledgeable approach to his daily activities. Here are a few of the comments that accompanied the voting:

“Great support. Real team player and knowledgeable in his role.”
“He’s an all-rounder and is always happy to help out.”
“Matt is an asset to Datalase.”

In receiving the award, Matthew said: “I have been at Datalase for coming up to 4 years in March, having always worked in the chemical Industry. As an operations manager, my role has responsibility for production & warehousing, facilities, safety and ISO.

“Obviously I was really pleased and honoured to receive the award, but would say that Datalase have a really good team who are all more than willing to muck in and go the extra mile to help each other or our customers out.”

Matt will receive a trophy and a cash bonus as a prize. Well done Matt!
